Diese niederdeutsche Bibel wurde im Jahre 1534 in Lübeck in der Druckerei Ludwig Dietz gedruckt. Sie erschien im gleichen Jahr wie die berühmte Lutherbibel. Der Reformator Johannes Bugenhagen, wegen seiner pommerschen Herkunft auch Pomeranus genannt, war ein Freund Martin Luthers und Mitarbeiter an dessen Bibelübersetzung. Der Buchblock hat mit Schafsleder bezogene Holzdeckel und verzierte Messingschließen (Fehlstellen am Einband und Schließen sowie im Inneren ergänzt, Titelblatt fehlt). Der mit Blindprägungen reich verzierte Einband zeigt im Mittelfeld auf der Vorderseite das Porträt von Martin Luther auf der Rückseite das von Philipp Melanchthon.
